This weekend I celebrated my birthday a little early with some of my girlfriends from high school in NYC. We had dinner at The Hurricane Club which was - AMAZING. I would suggest it to everybody looking for a really unique, fun dining experience in Manhattan. The food was so good (all Asian fusion dishes) the drinks were incredible & the second you walk in the place you feel like you are in Cabo.

They served drinks in watermelons & coconuts & the place is filled with palm trees! You can’t go wrong there.
Sunday was for recuperating from a hangover & then gearing up & heading to another dinner party for Mother’s Day. Jamie’s family & my family celebrated together at my families country club. As always, lots of great fun & wine, cigars for the men & we lucked out with some beautiful weather.

It was a really nice weekend with friends & family & made me feel fortunate for these memories & the time spent with everyone. So, birthday tomorrow (YIKES!) and then off to Florida on Thursday (YAY!) Should be a quick & easy week…as long as we can get through this dreadful Monday. Only 10:30am and I am ready to call it a day? No bueno. Coffee time!
It was quite the whirlwind of a weekend. Felt like I hardly had a second to relax.
Friday was for a post work trip to the mall, where Jamie & I had 2 important milestones.
For Jamie, it was the Dorito Taco. Which he ate in .2 seconds so I barely even got this picture.

Though I don’t eat meat, I must say, it looked pretty tempting.
Milestone for me - a MACBOOK! YAY finally!!
(Compliments of my wonderful, lucky AC-winning boyfriend)

Then we met up with Jamie’s brother & his fiance for some late night cosmic bowling. I am so bad at bowling. So bad. Add it to the list of things I am not coordinated at. I still had fun, even though everyone beat me by 50+ points. Sigh.

Saturday we made the drive down the shore to visit some friends we hadn’t seen in awhile for a St. Patty’s Day BBQ. They have 2 baby girls + a puppy and I just love getting to play with them.

Saturday night was quite an ordeal. Dinner with my parents, family friends and a friend visiting from California. Jamie & I decided we should all take the train, so no one would have to drive. It was hilarious. My mother was in all her glory.

She kept saying “I can DRINK on the train? OMG this is amazing! I am never driving again!” She might be the only people I know who enjoys public transportation.
Annnnd then Sunday was for Hoboken with my brother & his girlfriend. The weather was amazing. Beers on a rooftop followed by dinner at one of the bars. I had been waiting for months to be able to do this!

And now here we are. Back to Monday. Phew.
It’s 70 degrees out by 10am and it is going to be pure torture sitting in the office all day. Time for a second cup of coffee + tackling this never ending to-do list. Woo.
We’re at the “day after tomorrow” mark for the move. Holy shit.
